With over a decade of dedicated service in the industry, I've worn many hats and held various roles in the real estate landscape, each contributing to my deep understanding of the market and commitment to helping you achieve your real estate dreams. As an Associate Broker at Remax 1st Realty, my passion for real estate is more than just a job; it's a way of life. Having grown up in Marquette County, I have an intimate knowledge of the local area, its neighborhoods, and the unique charm it holds. This local insight enables me to provide you with a distinct advantage when it comes to buying or selling properties here. My journey in real estate began as an assistant to a seasoned broker, which provided me with invaluable mentorship and a solid foundation in the industry. Over the years, I've expanded my horizons, serving as a social media specialist to stay at the forefront of digital marketing trends, a transaction coordinator for the smoothest of deals, a dedicated buyer agent, and a listing agent with a keen eye for property values. I've navigated the complexities of residential and commercial real estate, working with first-time buyers and seasoned investors alike. My dedication to providing personalized, professional service ensures that your real estate journey is a smooth and successful one. Great communication is the key to any successful transaction. Every individual is different when it comes to preferences on frequency and method of communication, so I ask a lot of questions to ensure I tailor our level of communication to our client's liking.


If there is any instance in which I am not meeting expectations, I invite you to let me know! The only way I can improve is to be aware of present weakness, and I always want to improve.

I keep office hours from 9am until 4:30pm M-F, and am available by appointment on evenings and weekends. Active buyers can expect after-hours responses to the best of my ability - we may need to act quickly when a home hits the market. All other matters will be handled during business hours when lenders and title agents are also available.


My approach with my clients is first to educate. I will leverage my wisdom of what is customary in a transaction with my knowledge from years of experience to educate you on what your options are, and what the consequences of each choice might look like. My goal is for you to feel that you made the best decision for your individual situation. 



"A friend turned us on to Dawn, and wow, she was so great, we couldn’t have asked for better.
We were from out of state and needed her to help us find, work up and purchase a property without us being able to be there. This involved a lot of leg work, including video tours to offer her assessment of the property and to address our concerns and questions. Her commentary obviously drew from extensive knowledge, skills, and experience, which immediately told us we were in good hands. Watching the videos had us feel like we had taken the walk through ourselves, and we felt comfortable enough to move forward. It was a seller’s market with intense competition, with the price escalating well about list. We needed a set of tactics to win the bid, without over bidding. She knew how much to predict the price would escalate; she had us do a pre-inspection, so that we could waive the standard inspection later; she had us address the appraisal gap and our earnest money; and she had us set up an escalating bid that ultimately had us be successful without overbidding. She made timely referrals to a trusted colleague for the pre-inspection, and later for home-owners insurance. Along the way, she addressed all the issues that came up for us, in working with the lender, including requesting an appraisal waiver, which we got, and teaching us about procedures we hadn’t anticipated or were ignorant about. It was her judgement about, opinions, and recommendations that made such a difference. We were able to trust her completely. It was a wild ride and she guided us through it and held our hands emotionally. She was so nice. She was our cheerleader and acknowledger throughout.
Everything that came up that we couldn’t handle personally from out of town, she handled for us. Again and again she went the extra mile. She even sent us contact information to set up all our utilities, so that when we arrived in town for the closing, everything would be fully operational. And, when we finally met face to face at closing, it was a joyous occasion. Only in looking back on the whole, after it was all over and successful, did we get how much work she did and how much her expertise guided us to get the bid and close successfully.
